The goal of the Winamp for Windows Desktop product is to extend the world renown features of the Ultimate Media Player™ beyond the desktop to mobile, car, living room and the cloud. In this beta version of the the Windows desktop app you will find experimental new features that are focused on making the music library you have created on the desktop available everywhere else you are.
Download this beta version of the Windows for Windows and install it on your Windows laptop or desktop. Winamp for Windows is compatible with XP to Windows 8 version of the Windows OS and Internet Explorer version 7 to 10. Some of the new features require installation of the Winamp for Android app on your mobile device or the creation of a Winamp Cloud service.
At Winamp, we understand that your music lives in multiple places. Whether it is on a personal computer, mobile phone, networked drive or a cloud storage locker. Access to all your music can be difficult without continuously moving music around your various devices. Well, with Winamp Cloud, you’ll have easy access to all your music wherever it is stored, as one collective library of music. Winamp Cloud is currently in “invite only” beta. To gain access, please register at cloud.winamp.com. We will be periodically sending invites. You can also register for an invite by clicking the Cloud Sources node in the Media Library navigation in this Winamp for Windows Beta version of the app.
While the features in the “beta” have been in development for a while, these “beta” versions of product are not yet “release” ready and crashes and data loss are possible. We are also potentially testing features that may or may not make the final release. We hope you will try the new features and share your experience by sending feedback & participating in our forum. Thank you for helping us build a better Winamp!
Beta builds for Winamp for Windows include features that are still under development and we are making them available for you to try out!
