With a degree in hand and a passion for country music, she set up camp in Nashville. As a waitress during the day, she served the likes of Pam Tillis, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, and Shania Twain. It wasn't long until she met with a local producer to record her first song "Lyin' to My Heart." The song earned her a deal with Curb. In spring 2002, Jenai released her debut album Cool Me Down. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
