Control pitch and tempo independently
This is a very functional and useful tempo/pitch DSP plugin. You can alter the tempo and pitch independent of one another...so, you can have the song's BPM be one thing, and you can have the song's pitch be something completely different. The 'speed' lever also gives some interesting results. There is a preferences menu where you can set slider precision as well as hotkey increments. The interface is very straightforward and useful, not very impressive visually...but, it gets the job done

Not exaggerating

I know on these user opinions exaggerate like "THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!" Well I am not exaggerating. This is the best Winamp plugin I've EVER seen. You can make people sound different from what they really sound like. It will make you laugh when you make someone sound dumb.

Best I've found in 2 OSes

Linux and Windows - nothing matches Ollis tempo stretcher. NOTHING!Artifacts? None! If you have artifacts, try this plugin after you *disable* the other plugins! D'oh!10 Seconds?!? Takes about 3/4 seconds to react on my i810 Emachines (celeron 633MHz) system so puh-leeze - learn how to operate your pukey 2 GHz box - Gotta run lean, fool, don't load every plugin known to man and also run viz @ full screen then blame this tiny plugin - you look real lame!Lacks Design? Does that mean it does not work? Hehe... it works folks, some of the other puppies think the world is theirs to define.....

awful sound quality

It works, but the sound quality is so horrible ... it's supposed to filter the artefacts, but obviously doesn't do it, even when I turn the filtering on and adjust the filter setting.

Everything about this plugin i have loved. It is easy to use, nothing over-kill, works well, and I it hasn't crashed any of the 5 computers I've tested it on. It doesnt decrease my winamp load time and it lets me do thinks with tempo I couldn't do anything else. I would definitely give this a higher rating if I could.

I play the drumset for quite a while now and I often tried to play along with famous songs. For sure this works fine with the normal tempo, but this tool makes it much more fun and its a lot easier to learn hard and complicated songs by letting them play slower - or I can playback songs faster to get more speed-skill on the set (and all this without any annoying "speed-up-hamster-voices" *g* !!!!) absoTEMPOlutely great!! - good work Olli! go on like this mate! =)greets from Germany!Prost, Prost Kamerad !kick_the_beat *Rothaus-Tannezapfle is the best!* Rothaus.de

I was looking for a plugin that would change the tempo of mp3s to dance to. And I found it. I mainly use the Tempo control, but I guess Pitch and Speed could also be useful for someone.Works nice, lacks design.

This is a necessity, not a luxury!Really handy for young musicians. Slow the tempo to figure out those fast licks, change the pitch to suit your vocal chords. Is there a version of this for winamp 3?

The only plug in I ever get!

This is the only plug in I ever download. It has the simplest interface and does all I need. Do not pass this one up if you want easy to use tempo pitch and speed control. Can even be used in conjuction with "waveout" output on winamp to create custom wav files that will play normally with the settings you record them under. Perfect to create music cds titles "the chipmunks sing....."

It's the best tempo/pitch/speed changer I've tried, but the fucker always crashes after a few songs/plays/seeks and drags down Winamp with it, having to restart it (losing your current playlist if not saved, plugin setups, etc.)... there needs to be an UPDATE with these BUGS FIXED... otherwise it's a great plugin.

It used to work well, with winamp 2.8 the bass stutters, songs sound bad. I got rid of it. I liked the way it worked before 2.80. Now its better than nothing, but there are other pitch and tempo controlers that work without distorting the bass.

This is an especially great tool for karaoke singers to use. If you need to change the key of a song to suit your vocal range, you can do so easily. Also a fun tool if you want to change the tempo, key, or pitch of any song.

I am a guitarist. This plugin lets me change the pitch or tempo of a song without changing both. So if my guitar is slightly out of tune with the song, I don't need to tune my guitar, I tune the song!!!And it doesnt change the tempo when you do this. You can also change the tempo without changing the pitch. Olli can have my baby.

I'm a winamp-plugin freak, and I'm always looking for new and interesting things to download. This, certainly, is one of the coolest. If you're looking for fancy graphics and hefty buttons.. this is not it! However, you'll find three of the coolest sliding bars in history. The coolest, by far, is tempo which doesn't alter the pitch of key of the song.. just the speed. It's great for turning a dull and slow song into an upbeat danceable classic. You should try it sometime! The only thing it needs to do is let you record your manipulated changes. And watch out.. if you switch it too many at once, winamp tends to freeze (so don't abuse it). otherwise, it's simple, free, and provides hours of fun. What more could you ask for?

This is by far the best DSP you can get. I agree it might not LOOK very flasy but you can do so much with it and it takes only seconds to download so why dont you give it a try??

Heh... fun thing. Lots of cool stuff you can do with it, like make people sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks, stuff like that.Good stuff... give it a whirl. Haven't had any problems with it.

Beta less buggy than release

If you are having crashes, stalls, etc., get the beta, works a lot better on my computer at least. Great plugin, all users should download this!

What's the use of this program?! Sure, I got it to work once or twice, but after that, it froze my computer!! I had to uninstall Winamp just to get rid of that annoying fact; it made me very frustrated!!!
