Winamp Staff Review

Pop-up track change notification window for classic skins (updated version).
Straightforward and nicely designed track-change notification plugin. Displays a pop-up window with the track id3 info... the fading and holding time can be configured. Updated version with better support for internet streams and files without title information.

This is a fabulous program. I love that it lets people know what you are listening to. It is important to note that you must have the newest MSN, which is 7.0 not the beta version. I love that I can use winamp and not WMP (which I hate) on this new MSN feature.

@Travis: It states quite clearly what version is required, perhaps you should have read that? Did you try google for the latest version of MSN Messenger?Seriously, it would have taken less time to google for "MSN Messenger 7.0.0632" than to write that review.

Been looking for a plugin that changes my MSN nick... and i thought this would be the one! Boy was I kidding... I'm using MSN Messenger 7.0.0429 BETA... THE LATEST AVAILABLE! So, what's this I hear of 7.0.0632... It doesn't exist! Thanx for wasting more of my bandwidth on a useless excuse of a plugin

I wanted a plugin that would just display the album art. Nothing more complicated than that. This does that, with a cute little pop-up everytime the song changes. Perfect.

This plugin is the first and only plugin that I've tried that doesn't crash WinAmp. It does what it is supposed to do, but the best features seem to be unavailable at this time. I don't want to rush production, (we all know what that could cause) but I eagerly anticipate the next version.

This is the first time I have ever bothered to review a plug-in but this one really deserves it.Im really impressed with this.I live everything about it, cool name, cool idea and cool fade in and fade out of the song...Damn, its working as I type this and I still cant get over how cool it is.5 Stars....

This is really a great plugin. It is especialyl amazing for WinAmp radio where it shows you the songs as they change. But even on a private collection it is great, the album and the easy ability to rate music.That's one work well done. Keep it up!

Really nice plugin ;)I only have my music in 1 sub folder (Like My music/Artist/Song.mp3)So I made up a folder.jpg with writing of each artist, and made the file hiden.. And each time it changes song, I get a nice big picture with the artist name in it :)One day I'll arrange them in to album folders, but I don't have enough songs yet to merit that ;)Oh, Radiohead, Nirvana? In my opinion, Winamp 5 is nearly perfect. But a Plug-In such as Toaster was missing. I work virtually the whole day at my computer and I hear my favourite music with Winamp. Sometimes, I don't know, which song is actually playing and I must open the main Window of Winamp. But now it's over, 'cause Toaster shows me whats playing! I love this Plug-In, thanks Shane Hird for this beatiful & asskicking Plug-In!Hope you will update it soon.

In the eternal "iTunes vs. WinAMP" battle, unintuitive song rating was a thorn in the side of WinAMP. This fixes it. Rating songs becomes a doddle, and of course you get notification in every skin for good measure.Small problem with mouse wheel focus with Logitech MX700, since clicking moves onto the next track, but using the "Cruise Control" buttons rather than the wheel DOES work, so 5* it is!

This is exactly what I was looking for and then some! As a modern skins user, I was concerned Toaster would work only with the WA5 Modern Skin but it works with all of the modern skins in my library! Great job and my thanks !!!!

great plug, but..

A very nice job! Almost deserves 5 stars!And I would rate it 5, but something rather important is missing.. I don\'t know if Musepack (MP+) is used by a very great number of people, but probably enough that APE tag support could be added..All my files are named: artist-album-tracknumber-title..And I think you can immagine how long the window gets if you want to see the whole thing..So if you could, please:)

Just an almost perfect plugin, absolutely perfect for me, I LOVE IT!Shanne you're the best!I believe there's just a few edges to clean for example:The options in the config panel don't seam to stay selected for me ("sync with DB" and "use playlist font" options), don't know why :Sbut on the overall it's a great plug and I just don't give it the five stars because of this minor bug.

This is my plugin (and hey I give it 5 stars 'cause I use it). Read the readme-toaster.txt for tips on how to use it and my email address. To go to the previous track, hold shift when clicking. Press the middle mouse button to open the winamp window. Support for Win98, other animation styles and title formatting is pending for a future release.
