Promedeus will recommend tracks and radio stations for you that you should like based on your personal taste in music. Now you don't have to waste time downloading 20 tracks that you don't like just to find 1 that you do and it's also easy to find an Internet Radio station that is playing your type of music right now.

Great tool for finding music that suits your tastes
One of the slickest packages I've ever seen, quick links to related shoutcast streams, search engines, shopping, total integration into Winamp, and of course automatic music recommendation thanks to its ever-growing database. Vantastic! -dk____________________________Solid design to this one... fairly easy to get going on your music search. Just rate some of your tracks on a 1-10 scale...then after you have rated about 5 tracks, tell Promedeus to find similar music. Easy as that. However, I did notice that not many of the songs that I rated actually came up with any recommendation results. I tried everything from Aceyalone to Ernie Hines to Ween to the Roots to Kruder and Dorfmeister...and I didn't get any results. Then...I rated a Beck song.....wow. I received a great many recommendations....however, there were too many for me to actually see how accurate they were in terms of similarity to Beck. So...I tried something a bit easier. My search for similar artists to John Coltrane worked. However, I was a bit disappointed that Coltrane brought up Simon and Garfunkel, the Beatles, and Savage Garden as similar artists. Hmm... definitely not the jazz I was looking for...oh well. I'm sure others will have more luck than I did on that particular search. One more thing...I would really like to see a feature that allows you to know which of your rated tracks the recommendations are for. To get the proper results for that Coltrane song, I had to delete my Beck rating, so I didn't get clashing results. It would be nice if each recommendation clearly stated who it was linking to. Other than that, this plug-in is great and is packed with many fine features including online radio station searches that should keep you listening to what you like all day. -dg
