Winamp Staff Review
Geiss. Mmm. Good. Tasty. We like.Geiss really does succeed in making some of the most entertaining, trippy visualizations on this planet. We love it.

This just the Dogs Nuts, awesome plugin and great visuals.Geiss is a genius. The only slight niggle is that the sound to light is a little hit miss, but that might just be me not setting it up properly.

800x600 max??? Sad.
Jan. 11th, 2008
If it weren't for the max 800x600 resolution it would be top notch. At least those are the only options it is giving me. If I can't run at my native resolution of 1920x1080 then my monitor doesn't like changing to a possibly unsupported resolution. As soon as there is an option to run at current resolution option, it's no use.

First though: Cool

Well, cool was my first though... but this doesn't work with Vista at all. It messes everything up, terribly! I had to remove Winamp fully from my computer then re-download Winamp. It looks great, but it's not compatible.

Impressive.....

This was really good, but one would think a newer or at least an update or add on would be a great boost to a very good pro- gram. Thank you for the chance to critique the work. shadow0937

It doesnt have a windowed mode. Thats my only quarrel with this plugin, it looks great and works well, and its easy to use. But it doesnt have a visualisation window mode...........

Update

I believe that Geiss stopped updating this years ago and moved over to Milk Drop. Which now comes with Winamp.

Why are people worked up?

Very average visualizations. Looks like you copied the patterns from Windows Media Player. Also looks like it was made about 20 years ago. Does not take advantage of any advanced graphics capabilities; patterns are very simple compared to most vis's here.[Press ESC to quit or h for help]

One of the best

I use it for years now (since winamp 2x)and it's still one of the best.Requires slow CPU, not one of the latest GPU, easy to use.

meh
Jun. 19th, 2005
it looks good, but there isn't enough choice in video modes. i'd like to run it at 1280*1024 resolution.
- James Maxwell
Excellent 3d depth!
Jun. 15th, 2005
I am pretty stunned on some of the 3d depth effects and texture effects of this visualization...I enjoy this one better than the Geiss 2.0 as it is run in a window and full screen fills up the screen. Love it!

Asyncronous!
May. 16th, 2005
Much eye candy but I don't see it syncs to the music any bit!I have a Pentium III, 256RAM and 64MB AGP video card.
